We are very excited to welcome Janos Zeller as our new G&S JR Theatre School Acting Instructor! Janos has appeared onstage and behind the scenes in over 80 productions since he first entered the Calgary theatre scene back in 2002, including Morpheus’ G&S Productions of The Gondoliers (Giuseppe, 2013), Iolanthe (Strephon, 2017) and Princess Ida (Prince Hilarion, 2019).
An award winning actor, director, producer and set designer, he is an accomplished writer and songsmith and has also stage managed many a production. His experience includes over 13 years on the board of directors of Front Row Centre Players, Calgary’s largest amateur musical theatre company, with over 10 of those years as their Vice President. Janos has been blessed to work with over a dozen different companies in Calgary, including Front Row Centre, Morpheus Theatre, StoryBook Theatre, The Shakespeare Company, Calgary Opera, and most recently with SideNote Theatre. He is very excited to help usher in the next generation of musical theatre lovers by introducing them to the wonderful works of Gilbert & Sullivan!

BOOK DRIVE FUNDRAISER – Although Morpheus Theatre will not be holding a book sale this year, we are conducting a major book drive for “Books Between Friends”. Donations will be accepted from Nov 1 until Feb 14. Books may be left in the lobby of the Parkdale Community Centre on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., or if you are attending one of our shows, can be brought to the Pumphouse when you come to see Robin Hood & His Merry Men or Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet).
