Morpheus Theatre’s Annual Appreciation BBQ is BACK!

Join us on Father’s Day, June 18 for an afternoon of FREE BBQ, door prizes, socializing, and show reminiscing, all hosted by our wonderful Board of Directors!  Show mementos will be available for pick up (cast photos, etc).  There will also be information on our new season, and how to get involved. *Bring your books!  We are still accepting donations for “Books Between Friends”. Books may be left in the lobby of the Parkdale Community Centre on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., or bring them to the BBQ!

Aug 25, 26 – Casino Fundraiser – Every 18 months or so the Alberta Government grants Morpheus Theatre a license to hold a casino as a fundraiser. These casinos bring in up to $70,000 or more for our use in putting on shows.  To make these casinos work we need to fill some 36-38 shifts – at roughly $2,000 per volunteer shift, this can be a great way to support Morpheus! If you would like to volunteer, please sign up HERE!

Welcome to our new Theatre Administrator, Janos Zeller

If you’ve heard a new voice over the phone, you’ve already met him – we welcome our new Theatre Administrator, Janos Zeller!  Janos brings a wealth of experience in theatre from his time on the board of Front Row Centre Players, he’s a familiar face on many stages around town, and has been our in-house Director for our G&S Jr Students as well!

Positions include: Musical Director, Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager, Properties & Set Decoration, Costume Designer & builder, Hair & Makeup, Lighting Designer, Lighting Hang Crew, Sound Designer, Running Crew

This year we will also be recruiting for the following: Lighting Operator, Set Designer, Set Builder and Scenic Artist
