SURPRISE! OUR 30th SEASON HAS HERALDED SOME BIG CHANGES!
Your patience is very much appreciated as we navigate all these new things!
Firstly, surprise! Morpheus has opened a second facility in Highfield called the Morpheus Production Centre. At the Production Centre we will store our sets, have space for set construction and eventually a rehearsal room as well. Our main office will still be located at the Morpheus Rehearsal Centre at 3512 5 Avenue NW in Parkdale. When the new facility is ready, we will invite everyone out to see it!
Secondly, we are in the process of changing ticketing systems, starting with Puss in Boots. Patrons with pre-purchased tickets or subscriptions will receive new tickets by email. Watch for new links for all our shows and feel free to reach out to our office by phone 403-246-2999 or email at tickets@morpheustheatre.ca if you have difficulties.
Lastly, we will also be updating our marketing system and mailing list! Watch for details in December. FEWF!

Join us for the purr-fect Pantomime. Poor Tom! His father, the miller, has died. Tom, our hero, is bequeathed a cat in his father’s will. An unusual cat. A cat with the gift of the gab. A gift for getting Tom into trouble – and out of it again in his quest to marry a princess.

Jan 31 – Feb 15 – STEEL MAGNOLIAS – All the ladies who are “anybody” come to gossip and have their hair done by Truvy in her Chinquapin, Louisiana salon. Sharing their stories, laughs and tears, Steel Magnolias is the much-loved hit play featuring six amazing women who draw upon their strength and love to meet the challenges of life. Part comedy of manners, part heartfelt tearjerker, and featuring non-stop banter and wisecracks, this play about friendship, community, and the power of the human spirit. Buy tickets HERE

Apr 25 – May 10 – THE MCADO – It’s the show you love, in a brand new setting! The Mikado has been moved to the highlands of Scotland and becomes The McAdo. In this adaptation by Gilbert & Sullivan Austin, Gilbert’s libretto and Sullivan’s score has been kept virtually intact, while the costumes will reflect the Scottish moors. It’s a farcical tale of a wand’ring minstrel, a cowardly executioner, an iron-fisted ruler, and some of the greatest songs in musical theatre!
VOLUNTEERS – We are seeking a Choreographer for The McAdo. If you would like to get involved with this fun twist on a G&S favourite, email Colleen at colleen.bishop@gmail.com
BOOK DONATIONS – We will be conducting a book drive for the entire 2024-2025 Season. Simply bring your gently used books to the Pumphouse Theatre when you come to any of our shows this season and deposit them into the box. Visit Books Between Friends at 3434 34th Ave NE to pick up a new book today!
